Mission

The mission of EXCEL Academy’s Comprehensive Counseling Program is to provide students with advisement and support in addressing their academic, social/emotional, college/career goals.

Vision

The vision of EXCEL Academy’s Comprehensive Counseling Plan is to empower students to utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to EXCEL to their greatest potential.

Registration Checklist

§ Proof of Residency

-current property tax or settlement statement/closing disclosure,

-current residential lease or rental agreement

§ Withdrawal form from previous school

§ One Current Utility Bill (30 to 60 days only, Gas or Electric)

§ Report card or Transcript

§ Student's Birth Certificate

§ Student's Social Security card

§ Parent/guardian Driver's license (proof of guardianship if necessary)

§ Immunization records (Georgia form 3231)

§ Eye, Ear, Dental (Georgia form 3300)

 

NOTE: Name on residency document and utility bills must match the name of the person registering. An affidavit from Henry County Board office can replace the residency and utility requirements.

NOTE Regarding Withdrawals:

Families will need to complete the registration process when the student exits EXCEL Academy and is returning to their homeschool.

4 Credits – English Language Arts · 9th Grade Literature/Composition · World Literature/Composition · American Literature / Composition · British Literature/Composition 3 Credits Social Studies · World History · US History · Government (semester course) Economics (semester course)

4 Credits – Math

· Algebra I

· Geometry

· Algebra II

· 4th Math Option

1 Credit Physical Education · Health (semester course) · Personal Fitness (semester course) (3 credits of ROTC- also fulfills this requirement)

4 Credits Science

· Biology

· Physical Science or Physics

· Chemistry, Environmental, Earth Systems,

Forensic, Human Anatomy

· 4th Science Option

May also include: Essentials of Healthcare,

Computer Science Principles, Programming,

Games, Apps; Plant Science & Bio Tech, Animal

Science & Bio Tech

7 Credits – Electives 3 Credits in Career, Technology, Agriculture and/or Fine Arts 4 Credits Electives Credits Electives in any area (CTAE, Fine Arts, Academic, Dual Enrollment, Physical Edu.) *Dual Enrollment courses can satisfy requirements
